Drawings

James’ pen and Ink drawing and sketches began early in his life. He passed the Missouri architecture exam in high school. Many of Yale’s architectural renderings were commissioned by Helen Walton.

“There weren’t a lot of opportunities to study art in rural Missouri, but drafting was pretty close to art. I loved geometry and physics, so architecture and engineering were good for me.”
